Granddaughter Supports Berehill House Residents

We are delighted to share an inspiring story of determination, love, and community spirit. Brylee, the granddaughter of one of our much-loved residents, Joy Paget, is taking on an extraordinary challenge this August to raise funds to support our Berehill House residents.

From 24th–30th August, Brylee will be climbing Crib Goch, the most challenging route up Mount Snowdon in Wales. With an elevation of 923m (3,028ft), Crib Goch is a Grade 1 scramble – a knife-edge ridge that demands skill, courage and stamina. It’s not a walk in the park – and Brylee is doing it all to give something back to the place her nana now calls home.

Why She’s Climbing

Brylee’s motivation comes from the exceptional care her nana has received since joining Berehill House in the later stages of her dementia journey.

“Since being at Berehill, my nana has received outstanding care. There are always activities going on — and even some weird and wonderful creatures visiting! The staff are incredible — welcoming, kind and person-centred in everything they do.”

To show her gratitude, Brylee has launched a GoFundMe campaign, with all proceeds going towards:

• New activities and experiences for residents
• Enhanced facilities across both our care and nursing home settings
• Creating more meaningful opportunities for joy, connection and well-being
