Cochrane Care Home offers nursing, dementia, palliative and respite care. The care home has particular expertise in assisting residents with specific medical needs with a team of highly skilled registered nurses.
Cochrane Care Home, nestling next to its sister home, Ranfurly, enjoys a pleasant position in the leafy suburbs of Johnstone, with much of the home overlooking parkland.
The grounds and gardens are tranquil and well-maintained, allowing residents to enjoy the benefits of being outside safely and comfortably.
Cochrane Care Home is a modern purpose-built home with 65 rooms, all with en-suite facilities. There are several comfortable lounges and dining rooms, all of which are well-appointed and offer the opportunity for residents to socialise comfortably.
Cochrane has a good relationship with the local Church, schools and nurseries who engage with the home regularly.
Our activities coordinator organises a weekly schedule of activities and entertainment to keep life fun and engaging for our residents.
The team is always looking to add new, meaningful activities into the monthly schedule. Recently, residents embarked on a language course that had them participating in weekly lessons. The classes were so popular that some have asked to continue learning during their one-to-one sessions.
Residents can explore the local community and beyond through trips and excursions in our minibus.
Our chef prepares a delicious menu of three meals a day plus snacks. Personal preferences and dietary requirements are fully catered for so that all residents look forward to mealtimes.
