We are delighted that residents and staff at Malborough House Nursing Home in Church Crookham, Hampsire were vaccinated on 7th January, 2021 by the local GP/Nurse, Dr Tyrrell. The vaccination is now being rolled out to GP surgeries nationally, and care home residents and staff are at the top of the vaccine priority list.
Iulia Miclea, the Home Manager said: “This is a ‘Red Letter Day’ for us at Marlborough and we could not be happier. This past year has been like no other. Our teams have worked so very hard to keep our residents as safe as possible, and we know how hard it has been for relatives and friends to be denied the ability to see or hug their loved ones. This vaccine is hopefully the beginning of the end for us, and we’re delighted that 30 residents and 14 staff have now been vaccinated.”
One of the residents of Malborough House said: “It was painless, and very quick. We are all delighted to receive the vaccination. The staff have worked so hard, and we are so grateful to everyone for making so many sacrifices to keep us safe. ”
