Planning permission received for a care home in Stoke-on-Trent

We are delighted that Stoke-on-Trent Council has approved plans for the 72-bed care home on 25th May 2021 for people requiring residential, nursing and specialist dementia care.

Work will start later this year on a 24-month programme to create a new care home with eco-friendly credentials in Stoke-on-Trent. The home will include a residents’ library, coffee shop and plant centre alongside 72 ensuite bedrooms with wet rooms. The home will open in 2023.

Anavo’s clinical model aims to promote independence for residents so their lives will be fulfilled and happy, remaining connected to their local community. The home will recreate family households, grouping together 8 – 10 residents with similar interests in each unit.

It is expected that once the home is up and running at least 80 jobs will be created.

Ed Moore, Partner at Anavo Group said: “Our care homes will have a high quality environment underpinned by an evidence-based care model to deliver the best possible care for older people. Our aim is to make the home a community hub for our residents. We are delighted to have received planning permission from Stoke-on-Trent council. This means we can start work on site in the near future, creating partnerships with the local community and suppliers.”
