Sarah Goodge has worked at Hestia Care, which is part of Anavo Group, for the last 4 years, ensuring residents are happy and settled, and family members have complete peace of mind that their loved ones are receiving the best possible care. Her extraordinary commitment was recognised by colleagues, residents and their relatives, when she was presented with flowers during a staff appreciation week hosted by Berehill House, a residential care home for older people in Whitchurch, Hampshire.
Michelle Hart, the Home’s Manager, said: “So many people asked to recognise the love and dedication Sarah has given to our residents. She is an exceptional carer, and a colleague who always thinks about the needs of others. Residents love Sarah, for her gentle attitude, and for her joyful approach to life.”
Sarah said: “It’s lovely to receive the recognition for the work that I do and love. Working in care has been brought to the spotlight throughout the pandemic, and I’d encourage anyone wishing to make a difference every day to consider a career in the care sector. Being a carer at Berehill has enabled me to achieve the right balance between time at work and time with my family.”
Berehill House offers short-term and long-term residential care for people requiring 24-hour support.
