Celebrating a Century: Alexandra Mill Resident Turns 100

This week at Anavo’s Alexandra Mill in Crewe, we had the pleasure of celebrating a truly remarkable milestone, our beloved resident Doreen’s 100th birthday!

True to her wishes, the day was kept as a low-key celebration surrounded by her family, friends, and fellow residents. There was plenty of laughter and stories as everyone came together to honour a century of wonderful memories.

We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor of Crewe and members of the local PCSO team, who joined us to mark this incredible occasion and share their congratulations with Doreen.

Adding to the joy of the afternoon was a beautiful live performance by the talented Lydia Kate, who sang a selection of Doreen’s favourite songs, including a timeless classic by The Carpenters, Doreen’s all-time favourite band.

To round off the celebrations, everyone raised a glass of Bucks Fizz in a heartfelt toast to Doreen, a truly special lady. This celebration is just one example of how our dedicated team goes above and beyond to bring happiness and that extra spark to the lives of our residents.
