We are recruiting.
Manorcroft Care Home offers residential care, nursing, and dementia care plus, respite and convalescent care. The care home has particular expertise in assisting residents with specific medical needs with a team of highly skilled registered nurses. Manorcroft Care Home provides a real ‘home from home’ environment for our residents.
Manorcroft Care Home is a modern purpose-built property with 40 single rooms, all with en-suite facilities. There are four comfortable and homely day rooms with comfortable seating and dining accommodation, offering the opportunity for residents to socialise comfortably.
Each room offers en-suite facilities, and our lounge areas have been beautifully redecorated for our residents to enjoy.
Apart from its well-manicured outdoor areas, the home is adjacent to parkland and playing fields, offering good opportunities to take in the outdoors.
Our activities coordinator organises a weekly schedule of activities and entertainment to keep life fun and engaging for our residents. Residents can explore the local community and beyond through trips and excursions in our minibus.
The home is very much community-based, with lots of input from local schools, churches and mosques.
Our chef prepares a delicious menu of three meals a day plus snacks. Personal preferences and dietary requirements are fully catered for so that all residents look forward to mealtimes.

The home is led by Alison Sowden, an experienced, qualified care nurse who has been working in the care sector for the past 35 years. Her ethos is to "help people to live as well as they can for as long as they can."
After many months in hospital, my dad moved to Manorcroft on his 88th birthday. The staff baked a cake, sang happy birthday and trimmed his room as a lovely welcome to his new home. Thank you to the Manager, Deputy Manager, Activity staff and all other staff for your care, understanding and compassion towards my father and the family during our difficult time.
In my experience, the care received is excellent. From the care staff to management, I could not have asked for better.
The hardest decision a family can make is to entrust the care of their loved ones to a third party. I can honestly say from the moment my mother was admitted to the day she parted care we did not for one moment regret our choice of care provider. The staff became not only carers but friends to Mum and ourselves. The care she received at Manorcroft was simply exemplary and the difficulties experienced during the Covid outbreak were dealt with not just swiftly but also extremely thoroughly. A hard time for all involved and we really appreciate the sacrifices made by staff and management to ensure residents were protected and stimulated during the lockdown periods. A big heartfelt thank you to the manager and her wonderful team for the love and care given to Mum. True heroes to us.
